These are gorgeous. Great idea or being able to coordinate decos with your room and much more environmentally friendly. Just finding the time:-)

£25??? Flippin' 'eck! It's much, much cheaper to make your own! And so rewarding, too (but, like haylibo says, it's just the small matter of finding the time!) I've brought my paper-chain-knitting in to work with me again today, and am currently trying to work out how I can get a few rows done surreptitiously UNDER MY DESK while pretending to work. :)

Another good (cheap) tip is to buy woollen jumpers etc at charity shops or car boot sales and then unravel them and re-knit the wool (or sometimes you can even buy wool inexpensively from charity shops).

mirandamayhem : It's not *that* hard to learn to knit the basic stitch you'd need to make these - it's like a tiny, miniature scarf really. You'd need to learn how to cast on, do a knit stitch, and cast off - and it's so much easier to have someone *show* you this rather than try and work it out from a book. https://www.knittinghelp.com is a great website which has short instructional video clips which show very clearly how to do it - have a go, and I think you might be surprised that it's not as difficult as you fear. I'm not a great knitter by any stretch of the imagination, but even *I* can manage this!!
  • £25!!!!!! crikey...I think I'm going to learn to knit ;)

    Now wheres those knitting needles.
  • thanks CJ, you're right. I should get back into it. I did years ago, it can't be that hard to remember!
