please could someone tell me difference (besides price, - oats are cheaper).
i have started on oats to try and reduce cholesterol.
wold the bran be more beneficial?

We can't give medical advice on the forum so couldn't say which would be better for reducing cholesterol, but oat bran has more fibre in as far as I know.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

i mix them together. so mainly porridge oats with some oatbran (and i add some linseed too). i mix it in a container and then use it as if it was just oats.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
