Mortgage with CCJ and large deposit

Hi everyone.

My story is my husband and I have found a new house which requires a £230k mortgage , we have £200k equity in current property so good LTV.

We both have permanent jobs with joint income of £80k per annum.

I have a satisfied CCJ registered in 2014 and settled in 2017

Husband has no adverse history .

Since 2014 my payments have been good , a couple of late payments on a mail order a couple of years ago.

I have decided to go with a broker but has anyone had success getting decent deal with similar circumstances ?

There does seem to be great deal of advice out there and I have no doubt the excellent brokers on here will guide you.
To give you a different view we have no CCJ but I do have a couple of recent defaults. 30% LTV so also great equity. I understand that it does come down to the finer details but we have been told by both mainstream and adverse brokers we have no chance of a remortgage and to try for the best retention deal from our current lenders

Seems equity does not really count for much these days.

Just wanted to share our experience
