You can cook chilli in the SC. I don't brown the meat when I do it this way, but you can if you want to. I use tinned tomatoes, and no stock.

i make chilli all the time in my slowcooker, i brown the mince and drain the fat off then just throw everything in. i always batch cook my spag bols/chilli as i have a 6.5 litre sc so i freeze the rest in individual takeaway containers for quick hm micro meals. my oh loves it when i use my sc as it smells lovely when you walk into the house it also has a dual purpose as it heats my house up downstairs :jproper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance!Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat moneyquote from an american indian.0

Hello, m'dear  :grouphug:  My chilli recipe bears a lot of resemblance to my bolognaise recipeI add crushed chilli in with the onions, and usually use more mince and less vegetables. About an hour before it's done I add about 100g (dry weight) of soaked and cooked beans - pinto are my favourite atm.
