  • Thanks guys, lovely to hear from you all 🥰

Well I think I've finally walked off all of the excesses of the delicious afternoon tea! The weather has been fairly mild so have taken advantage and walked one or both of the boys to or from school each day, I'm usually back and forwards in the car 3 times a day so saving petrol as well as increasing steps for me and the boys. I reckon I've walked at least 4 miles each day.

Sold another couple of small items on V!nted but used the proceeds to buy DS1 a waterproof jacket for football/rugby training so that should be him set up for his sports activities. Listed a few more bits.

DS2 is struggling to undo his school trousers when he needs the loo 😳 so have also ordered him some slim fit joggers from A$da, not too bad at £8 for 2 pairs.

Sold a stairgate on marketplace for £10, set this aside for birthday gifts for the parties the boys are going to later this month.

Money in from TCB, We buy b%%ks & Mus!c Magpie so 'free' money for the month has hit £100 already, pretty pleased with that.

Also sent off some old gold jewellery, including some broken bits, to see if that can generate any income after reading about it on another diary here so 🤞 for that.

Have also decluttered a sideboard, was quite ruthless and binned about 80% of the contents! Used the smaller drawers to re-home the bits we need to keep.and have given the larger drawers a new life as toy storage for the boys, this means that their toy boxes and drawers all have specific items in them (until DS2 messes with the system 🤣).

Hope everyone else is well x

Oh my word, the gold jewellery I sent off yesterday (that had been sitting unlocked in the back of a drawer for years) has just made me £503!!! The money is in my account already, I can't believe it it was worth so much or how straightforward the process was 🤯🤯

So my top tip today - find that unloved jewellery & get it valued!!!

I've also been scanning some books/DVDs/CDs using the We Buy Book$ app & have just over £25 of items to send off so that's another box to be decluttered. Will scan the remaining items on one of the other apps just in case 🤞

A V!nted item I sold and posted Xmas Eve has gone missing so have refunded that buyer & put in a claim with R0ya! Mail for the item so hopefully I won't be out of pocket there. A little annoying but the only issue I've had after around 60 successful sales.

You’ve been busy Dancing, well done.

Wow on the gold jewellery! Unfortunately I don’t think I have any. 😂

How annoying about the v!nted item, hope you get your compensation from RM ok. I’ve had a couple of things I’ve sold go astray and then turn up weeks later but that was with Hermes so to be expected really!

You never know @sashybo It was literally 2 plain wedding band style rings and the remnants of an old snapped charm bracelet that I sent so it definitely didn't look like much. I think the charms have probably added to the value as the valuation is literally based on weight not what the item is per se. Still can't believe it!

I was surprised the royal mail item had gone missing, as you say you almost expect it with Hermes but so far so good with them 🤞
