Tax Relief on ex-pat pension contributions

I am an expat have been a non-UK tax resident for 5 years in October. I complete a UK self assessment tax return each year as I have income from a UK rental property of £4000 per annum.
I have continued to pay into my UK personal pension £1680 per annum and so far have claimed relief on my tax return as it isn't claimed by my pension provider.
Will I still be entitled to do this after October when I have been an ex-pat for 5 years and still receive the tax relief on contributions?
I believe there is a cut-off at 5 years unless I have 'relevant income' but I'm unsure if this applies to me.

I have a friend who is in a similar situation and is trying to sort out his Civil Service Pension.
His pension will be going into his UK bank account.
Right now he does not pay any tax on his rental property, but it would be interesting to see what will happen in the next tax year.0 -
How are you getting tax relief through your Tax Return? Do you have any other UK income on which you pay tax. If not then your rental income is covered by your personsl allowance and can't see how you can be getting any tax relief?0
