Pension information from scheme administrators

I agree. Among the reasons for this is outsourcing and the commoditisation of the service, just at a time when the pension 'freedoms' introduced in 2015 introduced additional layers of work and complexity.Parking_Trouble wrote: »The quality of the pension administrators is generally poor in my experience.

My experience is that they are generally OK when dealing with routine matters, but anything mildly complex results in delays or inaccuracy. I have spent far too much time correcting errors made or chasing them up for information. I know the technical details pretty well, and I do wonder how many uncorrected errors there are in cases of people who don't. What I have found is that if you get to a certain level of seniority, the staff do tend to know their stuff, but below that it's pretty awful.0
