Early repayment charges towards the end of a fixed deal mortgage

My current 2y fixed date mortgage deal with nationwide ends 30.6.19. I’ve decided to remortgage to another lender that provides an offset mortgage. I was planning on setting the remortgage date to 1.7.19 to avoid any ERC’s. However, I recently spoke to a Nationwide representative on the phone and they told me that I can redeem the mortgage anytime during June without paying an ERC as it’s the final month of my fixed deal. Does anyone else have experience with this? I feel concerned that if I agree a remortgage during June before the fixed deal ends that there should be an ERC. I can’t find anything in the T @ Cs about this. Thanks

Get the Nationwide representative to confirm in writing....I presume you have asked for a redemption certificate anyway would you not?0
