My parent is retired which rules that out and i am not even sure if a guarantor is an option for mortgages? Even if it was finding someone who would be willing to cover a couple hundred grand would be difficult at best and not something i am comfortable with.0 -

I have thought about this but for the last 5 years i have basically been a nomad. All I own in this world is two cars (1 in each country) and a storage locker with my life in. My accommodation is provided with my contract and i use air b&b when I am home. It is hard to explain but i want/need something that is mine, i need roots and somewhere that is my home0 -
Forgive me for being ignorant or stupid here but, I'm at no greater risk of losing my position than anyone else in england. Even if I fail to keep up repayments the house gets repossessed like any other if I'm in the country or not.
