WW Subscription nightmare

Hi everyone
I joined WW online a month ago. I previously went to classes with Slimming World but have moved area and started a new job so thought that using an online app would suit my needs more. I have made a mistake and signed up to WW for a 9 month period at a cost of £9.99 per month. I realised that this was not the diet for me and tried to cancel the day after the Easter break which I was told was the 15th day so therefore I had missed the "cooling off" period by one day. WW will not budge on this and told me that I have to continue to pay for the whole period.
I am just looking for some clarity that this is correct information? If I cancelled the subscription via my bank could WW still insist I pay for the remaining term?
Thanks for your help.

You have the right to cancel an online purchase within 14 days but you did not do that.
You signed a contract and the terms of that apply.
Cancelling the DD does not cancel the contract and yes, WW can pursue for the money.0
