Do I need to declare I am living with partner

Hi,
So my partner and I rented together for over a year. I have then taken a paid student position. Unfortunately banks don't count a stipend as an income so my partner brought a house on his own. I am currently living in student accomodation that is included with the position. After how long can I move in with my partner and do we have to inform the mortgage company ? Does this count as insurance fraud? Or should I wait until I am in a paid position next year?

Thanks

Why do you think you are restricted on moving into your partners house ????
Why would you think there might be insurance fraud if you did ?
If you believe you need to be in paid employment to live in your partners house (why do you believe that?) , does that mean you also believe that should you become unemployed you'd need to leave ??!

    Just go and live there.

Move in anytime you like, no need to inform the mortgage co.
Your partner should let their house insurance co know as the number of adults living in a house is one of the things usually declared when you take out a policy.

You may want to let the university know that they will have spare accommodation - if you are really lucky, they might pay you more since they can rent the room.

I would not count on this & I might also perhaps not mention in it case partner & I didn't do so well in place of our own. (Sorry for being so untrusting, but these lovely leaps of faith sometimes don't work out.)

It has to be your call but the only insurance who need to now are building insurance. Council tax should be advised no longer single occupancy & if you are confident, I would tell the university as they are always pushed for space.
