Mortgage Broker

My Ex wife if looking for a mortgage, she tried a broker that claims to deal with ex bankrupts, first he made her pay cash up front for a credit search then offered her some extortionate rate product. I cannot help but feel he was trying to rip her off. I know been bankrupt you expect it not to be easy but she is now 7 years post discharge, decent job, same employer last 14 years etc.
Can anyone recommend a mortgage broker they have had success with and knows the best products for ex bankrupts?
Thanks

I would just look for a broker that only charges a fee on completion.
I used a regular whole of market broker that I found on google. I’m 4 yrs discharged and he got a mortgage with a high street lender at 2.3% fixed for 5 yrs.0 -
7 years discharged, she should be looking at normal rates.
Some brokers do charge upfront, others charge on offer and others on completion. At 7 years discharged we would be charging normal fees assuming the credit report is clear.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
