PPi on Mortgage

I took out a mortgage in the early nineties with Cheltenham and gloucester.
Cutting a VERY long story short, I got divorced and we sold the property in about '99 i think?
What would be the chances of recovering ANYTHING now after so long? I still know the account number,(Its quoted on my old seperation deed,) although, I don't have any other paperwork
Does this help, what do you think?

Mortgage PPI complaints are usually a dead end.
Why do you think you were missold?0 -
Well,... way back then,it was our first mortgage and I guess probably, we weren't sure if we could even get a mortgage,so, although, i don't know if I was mis-sold, I think we were so worried about not getting one that I think we took out everything that was suggested. I'm sure I remember agreeing to it.0

That certainly doesn't sound like it was mis sold. In fact, it sounds like a sensible buy.0

So you don't think its worth a try then? If we were under the impression we might not get a mortgage if we didn't take out ppi?0

'We were under the impresssion' isnt miss selling, and doesnt get you a refund . you need proof of what happenned to back,up everything.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

As you havent mentioned your reason for complaint it is difficult to say.
Statistically, most MPPI complaints fail as MPPI suffers fewer issues than loan or credit card PPI. You can still buy MPPI today. If we were under the impression we might not get a mortgage if we didn't take out ppi?
And what evidence do you have to support that allegation?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
