Woolwich mortgage since move to Barclays

I have a Woolwich offset mortgage and had the obligatory openplan account. I could move money from this account into my Woolwich mortgage same day. Since I was forced to move my account to Barclays, post-merger, payments made from the Barclays account now take about 3 days to arrive into my mortgage account. I know that technically the Woolwich is a third party but since I can see my Woolwich mortgage details from by Barclays online banking page, and since the amounts also show up on my Barclays statements, they aren't really that separate. I think Barclays are just treating the Woolwich as a separate bank when it suits them. I am a bit annoyed that Barclays are effectively making extra money from me for those 3 days when my mortgage payments are in their system. I called them about it and they basically said that if I didn't like it I was free to move banks. Has anyone received any better comments from them?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi, Gollygosh,
No, Barclays don't care at all. Since I was moved over, I have had the same problem, but I made a formal, written complaint, after being told much the same as you. Since then, I have had the money move and be credited the same day as before. Make a fuss!:hello: Stand up and be counted. Grumbling without doing something gets you nowhere.0 -
If you are not happay with the service provided then I would take my money else where.0

I've also noticed a significant drop in service since my Woolwich mortgage was absorbed by Barclays. I still have an outstanding complaint that, based on the time to resolve another complaint I had, should most likely be addressed well after I've moved on. So, yes, leave if you're not happy and can do so without penalty - I am, again!0
