Could you ask your support worker to help you with the travelling to work by getting the bus with you a few times to build up your confidence? Alternatively do you have a colleague who you could share a lift with (and give them something towards petrol)? Good luck with the job. Sorry I forgot to say, please discuss with your support worker first as I don't want to go against you and your support worker's expertise! Hope it all goes well for you.0 -
I work in the welfare industry. ATW will cover the cost of taxis. I've only normally seen them do 75% of the cost. Which is still cheaper than most buses or trains. On a few rare occasions they have covered 100%.0
