In your experience, is it common they use anaesthetic ?
I saw my dentist this week and he suggested getting some fillings because of tooth decay ( not cavity ), i'm in no pain at all but we agreed to nip it in the bud before it get's any worse.
Asking because the thought of needles in the mouth isn't good
Does it depend on how "deep" the cavity/decay is ?
thanks

Each person is different, each tooth is different, each dentist is different.
I've had one filling, no injection and just let my dentist get on with it. He dealt with it before it went too far.

I've had lots of fillings unfortunately; the needle for me is no big deal, I suffer from pain from the vibration of the drill - I really hate that. Most people don't have that problem though.
I agree with MovingForward, it depends on the person and on the tooth; I've had a couple of small fillings done that did not require an injection and it didn't hurt.0
