Freezing bread dough

Thanks for the tips guys. I’ll give it a try next time I make it.
The recipe I use is from BBC Good Food website. I’ve just spent 10 minutes trying to copy and paste but failed miserably. I use a dry cast iron frying pan to cook them on and then slather them in melted butter . I don’t include the sugar as I find it makes them too sweet. Good luck to anyone who tries them out0 -
From the clues above, I'm guessing it's this recipe: Naan breadLife is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0

I freeze pizza dough successfully, make it into approximately 180 grams balls before freezing on a tray. I can't remember the exact timings but out of the fridge the defrosting process was surprisingly swift and the dough really stretchy.
In my wood (pellet) fired pizza oven the bases came out really well. A lot cheaper than going out for a pizza, although you do tend to drink more at home!0 -

You can freeze dough (or bread) in different stages.
- Make the dough and freeze before starting the rising process.
- Make the dough, complete the 1st rising, shape into a loaf and complete the second rising* and then freeze before cooking
- Make the bread completely including both rising, cooking and then freeze
We went out for a picnic yesterday. I managed to time things so that the loaf I made (sundried tomato and cheddar) was still warm when we got to the picnic spot.
* If not making flat bread, or pizza bases which only need one rising.0 -
