Best Value Camcorder - help needed please!.

I am looking to buy my daughter a camcorder for christmas, but I need help in getting the best value for money around. I have decided, after hours of trapesing round shops and trawling the interenet, that the best type for her would be one which takes an SD memory card as this means she can connect straight to her laptop with a card reader and view what she has filmed that way - she wouldn't have the time, know how or patience to use one of the more complicated cameras which involve using software to download onto her laptop from a tape or mini dvd, although I do realise she would probably get much better quality results from one of these cameras. My daughter is studying popular music at university and wants to film her practise sessions, gigs etc, and so needs a small, easy to use camcorder, which will give great results, is quite sturdy, and isn't too expensive ( I don't want her to be worried about her and her mates using it - it will get lots of use and abuse from students in varying degrees of sobriety!)
Can anyone recommend a suitable camcorder please?

Also called busbi i have noitced. Busbi seem to be £39.99 everywhere whereas curry are doing these look idential and £10 cheaper i hope this helps.
