Hello everyone
I always used to live near my university and place of work, now I am thinking to relocate and travel with underground, My question is, can get a student oyster card and use it for stations located at zone 2, 3, and 3-4 ?
Nearest station to my university is Elephant and castle and it is zone 1-2, does that mean if I get a oyster card for zone 2-3 I could use it for travel from Elephant and castle towards any zone which is 3 or 2-3?
I have checked a price list and for zone 2 to 3 it costs £712, not sure if the price is old. Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks for your help

You can only travel south on the Northern Line with a 2-3 but can't travel on the north on the Bakerloo Line. But you can travel south on the Northern and interchange to the Ginger Line at Clapham to access the rest of zone 2-3, which will give access to a large chunk of London except central, but not zone 4.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Don't forget, you can use a bus in any zone with a Travelcard, regardless of how many zones that Travelcard is issued for, in case that's of any use.0
