Hi
Does anyone know of a good place to buy chocolate for a chocolate fountain? The places I have looked so far are really expensive.

It depends what you mean by expensive. And the quantity you are after.

    e.g. http://www.gilesandposner.co.uk/chocolate.htm

Analysing the figures there, the 20Kg buttons (near the bottom) at £64 works out at just 32p/100g - and if you compare that to woolies pick n mix at double that, it's not expensive. Question is .... would you want 20Kg? I suspect not.

However the 2x900g bags at the top of the page at £17.90 work out at 99p/100g

I stock up on chocolate in the French hypermarket when i go on holiday. Some is vey cheap but still quite good, i normally buy a mid range so it's really good. Sorry, not much use for now but maybe for next year.

the giles and posner choco is the best, we got ours direct from them, the 5kg bag
then we saw it in robert dyers they had it for £6per 900g bag which worked out pretty much the same as the 5kg per kg

yeah I think I will go to Robert Dyas and buy some then. You don't need to add oil with there chocolate so looks the best. I liked the ebay item though so might have to get them too yum.

I use value chocolate from either Asda or Tesco for childrens parties - I hate the texture when diluted with oil - so I use milk & it works just as well.
