I know people that have. Never heard the name ballotine before - I've always known them as turduckens.... they are popular in the States.

Personally I'd prefer my meats separate. Stops the issue of somebody not liking 1 so they won't eat any. Also makes it easier with leftovers to know what to do with individual meats.

I'd steer well clear on such an important day/meal, and just try one at some future point when somebody else has bought/cooked it in case you hate it.
  • Now you've got me looking at them!
    They look lovely!
Apparently Iceland have a cheap alternative, that maybe worth a try one sunday in the next few weeks to seek if you like ;)

  • We had a turkey/duck/chicken thing last year, but it was called a Kings Roast, or its sometimes called a 3-bird roast or turducken. I really enjoyed all the different flavoured meats, made a lovely change.

The juices from each meat soak into each other and taste wonderful though! Just make sure you pick meats you knwo you like

    I don't know!
I'm only going on what someone else told me:o , though looking at the site I'm rather liking the look of the duck, may have to think of a good excuse for duck in the next few weeks!
