Freegans - advice and information about freeganism

i have a few friends who are very hard up, they tell me they go to the local supermarkets at nite go threw the bins for food. anyone else do this?

watched a programme on TV about this some years ago, and Shabby from BB says that she does it too!!

isn't it still classed as stealing though?
