Hi
I am looking into doing some freelance work to earn a little more money alongside my current job.
I have found a few transcribing websites including Take Note Typing that could work.
I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience freelancing for Take Note and the likelyhood of being successful with the application?
Thanks

I've been working with then for a couple of years. If you can type at a good rate and have a good standard of English and grammar, you should pass the test easily. It's only worth applying if you can type quickly. If you type at an average or below average speed you'll be working at minimum wage, or less if the audio is poor.Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

Hi
Did you need to purchase software (if so which did you choose) plus headphones and foot pedal to work effectively in this way? Am thinking of giving it a go. Thanks for any guidance.0 -

You definitely need good headphones, and make sure they're comfortable. No need to purchase software but a foot pedal will make the work much smoother and more comfortable. Take Note have a guide on basic and fairly inexpensive headphones and foot pedals to start off with.Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

I took their test months ago (pretty certain I passed) and was told that as they have a high number of applicants feedback can take a long time, if it comes at all. So far, they haven't got back to me.0
