My DH has a remote controlled toy helicopter - think it only cost £14 from IWOOT or similar gadget site. Every man young or old without exception who has come to our house has been spellbound with it - and it doesn't break if you crash it into the wall luckily!
Similar gadget toys are toy tanks that shoot things at each other and
USB gadgets like a pencil sharpener or mug warmer that you plug into the computer.
Just treat it like buying a toy for a 20-something kid - you can't go far wrong!!0 -
I was on my local forum and this site caught my eye in the advertising at the side

Amazing things that look really fun and cheeky too. I like the odd wacky thing so to a technically minded bloke i would think they would appeal i hope this helps

Now that is an idea I like. :rotfl:
How about a magazine subscription to a computer/games magazine that he buys regularly.
A book rest, if he has computer books that he uses while on his computer: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Foldaway-Book-Rest/dp/B000TSICU8
Some USB toys to plug into his computer. My personal favourite is the USB missile system: http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/usb-missile-launcher/index.htmlI have no signature.0 -
My BF was talking about a PacMan game one of his students had been playing on a school computer (before he caught him!), saying how much he loved those games. Found on Firebox.com a 5-in-1 retro joystick that plugs into the TV for £20, (which includes Pac Man, Galaxian, Dig Dug, Rally-X and Bosconian).
Then surfed the 'net for voucher codes and found a £5 off code so has cost £15 (plus P&P).
Can't wait to play with it, I mean give it to him. :TLittle man arrived 13 Dec 20120 -
Funny you should say that mlbarrett, my DS just bought my GS an x box for christmas and had to try it out to see if it worked ha ha. He said he spent 4 hours playing pacman on it. Retro is good. For the op does he have a digital camera, maybe he would like one or a digital videa camera, a bit computer related. If not beer and chocolates.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
