I'm thinking of claiming Specified Adult Childcare Credits for the period I looked after my grandchildren but my daughter is worried it will affect the free childcare allowance she gets or her tax credits. Will it affect her in any way?

No effect, it only gives you the NI credits she would have received by virtue of receiving child benefit which has no bearing on income tax or tax credits. The only caveat is that she was earning enough to pay or be credited with class 1 NI during the period you will be claiming.0
