Help to Buy Scotland

Options
Hi all,

Im just looking for some clarity on the affordability rule of thumb within the help to buy scheme in Scotland. The guidance states that you may not borrow an amount from your lender that is lower than the rule of thumb level however it also states some flexibility exists around this and if the amount you wish to borrow is slightly below, or significantly lower the rule of thumb level you must provide evidence to one of the agents to help support your request to do this.

is there an specified amount that can be say no more than 10000 below? My lender is allowing me to borrow around £8,905 less than what the rule of thumb is.

Thanks in advance:)
