House buying and contract

Hello

I'm currently trying to claim on the 10 year builders guarantee and the form asked for the "date i entered into the contract to purchase the property"

Would this date be the completion date or the date I transferred the deposit?

Regards

It's the date you exchanged contracts. So, probably immediately after you transferred the deposit, though you'd be best to check. You were almost certainly told at the time by your solicitor so look through emails/letters from your purchase.
