Son has an HSBC mortgage offer 1.99% fixed for 5 years for purchase of a new build with completion not due until September.
The mortgage has no fees upfront.
Noticed today there is a small reduction in rate to 1.94%.
With there being no fees is he able to switch to the cheaper rate?
