Credit union a/c affect mortgage offer?

So today I received my long awaited mortgage offer.

I was thinking of moving my deposit savings into a credit union account for 2 reasons:
1. Keep it safe and out of the way of my normal everyday account
2. Be able to then take out a loan after I move into the house for decorating (and some for stamp duty - shush!)

Will opening a credit union account affect my mortgage offer even tho it will just be used as a savings account initially?

Will I be eligible for a loan even though I haven’t saved up I will just be depositing a big lump?
