Getting a joint mortgage with debt

I am looking to get a joint mortgage with my partner who has no debts but I do, a couple of cards and a loan. Are there any lenders who we might have a chance with?

I've got a couple of cards and a car loan and going through the application process after having received an AIP already.
I'd say that it will depend on more than just debts. It's affordability and the status of the debt i.e. are you clearing the minimum balance each month? Can you continue to clear balances on top of the mortgage payments etc?
If managed right, I'm led to believe that 'debts' are good as it shows steady payments and so on but it really does depend on the status of your cards and loans. Good luck.0 -
Yes. Any lender as long as you meet affordability. If not, the amount you want to borrow may be conditional on you repaying some or all of it on or before completion.I am looking to get a joint mortgage with my partner who has no debts but I do, a couple of cards and a loan.
