Advice for New Position Salary
Comments
-
I work in recruitment and have done for about 15 years. For the last 10 I have been “In House”.
The initial salary is where you will get the biggest uptick.Personally I would see what similar jobs are being advertised externally and see what they are potentially paying. If they are paying Circa £40k then explain that you are a little disappointed with the offer as you know that in the market the going rate is around £40k and that I what you were hoping for.
They may meet that , thy might meet you halfway they may say no £35k is the absolute max. They won’t pull the offer.
Just be polite and honest and go from there
Good luck0
