Has anybody else noticed that this household toilet cleaning product:
Foam Aroma: brand Bloo: manufacturer Jeyes
clogs badly inside the container? i.e. the powder seems to get damp even if the lid is always tightly closed.
Info re the item - which was only launched 3 years ago in 2016 - is at:
Jeyes launches Bloo Foam Aroma fragrant cleaning powder duo
It's such a shame, as I hoped this would be a useful & pleasant product to use than the old Ajax or Vim powders that my mother's generation used. That always had a horrible stink of bleach etc!
It has a lovely fragrant smell. But the clogging means it o nly leaves the packaging in clumps or even not at all!
Can I perhaps add something to the powder in the plastic container to keep the powder dry?

I've never used this but I wonder if damp is getting into the product somehow?
It's worth e mailing the manufacturers as some send out vouchers or replacement products when you give feedback on their products, good or bad.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -
Good suggestion. Thanks! :oystercatcher wrote: »It's worth e mailing the manufacturers as some send out vouchers or replacement products when you give feedback on their products, good or bad.
BTW, I don't think moisture can/should have got in as there is an inner reusable seal PLUS the outer lid; and we have used both throughout. That's why I was wondering if in fact there was a flaw with 1 or both of these 2 lids, & if other people had also found so.
Maybe as a solution I was thinking of uncooked rice being used, in the same way that it can apparently be used to keep flour dry, i.e. as a drying/desiccating agent. But then that would mean the rice grains would end up in the loo along with the powder! So that 'solution' wouldn't last long or be cost-effective!(Not to mention other practical problems of flushing hard rice grains.)
Maybe it's back to the drawing board for the manufacturer!APennySaved

Thanks, Organza_Lace.
So maybe the most likely reason for the flaw is either that the particular item we have bought is from a bad batch, or that the item goes clumpy if left unsold/unused for too long.
Thanks for all your help!APennySaved
