My sister is a nurse and she was unaware of such discounts so she'll be pleased especially the John lewis one.
  • Tell her to go to NHSDISCOUNTS.COM and register - there are about 150 or so discounts. The only problem is most of them (other than the ones I have listed here) require you to be logged on and you need an NHS email address to register.

I lost faith in these guys when I saw an advert for BUPA on their website, so few NHS staff use this site or these discounts, someone may as well take advantage of them and then perhaps more companies would get involved and NHS Recruitment could get involved offering better discounts (as it would be non-profit making)......and I also think in the future the NHS will have enough money ..........and when somebody dies in a hospital - the relatives first response will be in the form of grief, not a letter from a solicitor threatening to sue the Trust concerned..........and the public and press will realise that not all NHS managers are heartless, penny pinching, nurse hating scumbags who either spend all their time at work practising their golf-swing or surfing the internet (oh...err...yeah, good point)
