Finding an old pension policy

Hi
Back in late 1999 through 2001 I had a pension plan into which I was paying £500 a month. For various reasons I lost track of it and have no idea who the company was and I cannot for the life of me find any records.
Any ideas on how I can track down the policy? In theory it should be a tidy sum I could maybe transfer across to my current pension pot.
Thanks
Simon

Can you remember if this was a company scheme of some description, or one you set up for yourself direct with the pension provider? If the former, try https://www.gov.uk/find-pension-contact-details
Otherwise try https://www.uar.co.uk/Home0
