Bad credit, new job, help needed!

So we have been rejected from the Halifax due to my partners missed payments on credit cards last year when her contract came to an end. They were also worried about the current debt I had (even though it has been paid off and statements sent to the broker).
Habito our broker has now placed us with another mortgage provider but now facing the issue that my partner is still only halfway into a 6month probation.
Has anyone had any luck with a naff credit score and new job getting a mortgage through Habito or has anyone tried simply adverse and had luck? Their fees seem eye-watering but it’s the price we might have to pay.

Habito are an online broker, fee free with what I think are brokers only experienced in straightforward cases (if experienced at all).
Simply are a proper brokers with experienced brokers doing the job and running the business (I know the owner).

Have Habito now got it right at the second go? - which mortgage provider? If a Specialist Lender and the wrong one they will simply not accept you if on probation.
Simply Adverse are quoting Broker Fees two to three times what you can expect to pay with most Specialist Brokers.I am a Mortgage Broker

Thanks both, I’m going to get the ball rolling with Simply tomorrow morning.
Habito have matched us with Kensington but we still don’t match the criteria due to my partner still in her probation period.0 -

Just re-Reading would you be able to recommend a broker or directions to find one who would take on our case via private message? Thanks0 -
Kensington can sometimes live with probation but generally won’t. I suspect your Broker has not checked prior to application due to lack of experience. I would check tomorrow if they have done and if not you need to be thinking about a sensible broker and plan C.I am a Mortgage Broker
