  • The terms and conditions say:

"You can enter the Competition a maximum of 12 times via SMS (including free entries) and a maximum of 12 times online for free".

It doesn't say anything about entering 12 times per mobile phone number.

The post is for the free entry route which allows 12 entries online per mobile number.

Which is fine if you have only one mobile phone; if you have more than one you can't use the extra ones to enter. That is what I'm saying.

I see what you mean 12 entries being the total regardless of the number of mobiles you have so you could enter with up to 12 different mobile numbers but then that would only be one entry for each as the total limit of 12 would apply.

Yes you can, I'm certain because I've won these twice doing that. What you can't do is win more than 500 quid twice in 6 months, even from the same household sometimes.

I think this is something they may have changed quite recently?

For years, on these types of comps it always said "You can enter this competition a maximum of [x] times per mobile number free online, and a maximum of [x] times per mobile number via SMS." but it doesn't say that now.......

....instead for a little while now (on quite a few recent comps) it has said "You can enter the competition a maximum of [x] times via SMS (including free entries) and a maximum of [x] times online for free."

So whether they have just changed the wording (and you can still do the max number of entries on multiple mobile numbers per person) or whether they actually meant to change the meaning (and they now want to limit entry to number of entries per person regardless of mobile numbers) I don't know, but they've definitely changed the terms.

How many numbers did you use to enter just out of interest? I am in such a bad place financially right now and desperately need that big win :-(

I think the 'free' entries regarding the SMS route refer to the entries you get when they give you a FREE entry for entering twice.... so if you enter 8 times via SMS you get a 'free' entry after every 2 paid entries.... Just read that back ... I understand it .. hope you do.

That's my interpretation of the rules anyhoo.

Best of luck whichever route you take.

How will they know you entered using more than one mobile number?
    63 mortgage payments to go.

    Zero wins 2016 😥

Same name/IP tacking of entrants? (The limit is on the total number of entries not how many different mobile numbers you use to get there)
