This is a question with only one answer. Unquestionably, the greatest car ever is E-Type.

I passed my test in a Mini in 1967, owned a Beetle, and have driven Defenders (or at least their predecessors). All of them good in their time, but pretty dire by modern standards.

Having said that, it's a puerile question unless you define what's meant by 'best'.

Usual pointless Cork thread. His favourite car is a Ferrari? Ferrari is a manufacturer who have made the odd clunker, so you can beat a Ferrari!

Oh I agree. My unreliable Volvo is miles better than the 3 mentioned however if you purely consider the impact they have had on motoring in general then they are up there.

Anything remotely modern is nothing more than a disposable asset not designed to last and be replaced. Hopefully Tesla can change that back with Musk's last talk suggesting the latest battery/motor packs are good for 1 million miles.

It all depends on why you think a car is great - performance, looks, usefulness etc. etc.

I'd like to say "Citroen SM" but as for owning one, I'd rather have another Citroen 2CV in a heartbeat.

Ferrari aren't great as tow cars. I get some funny looks at the caravan site when I turn up.
