This is very poor advice. Are they retired? Do they have pensions? Boggles thee mind they would advise you to turn down free money.

I can understand why some people may want to opt out, but the worst ones have to be the people who do not recognise the value of a Defined Benefit pension scheme. I can recall a poster who doesn't want to join the Police pension scheme.

Yes absolutely crazy! Pay in 5-6% a year and get 1/49th of that years salary GUARANTEED. Investing doesn't get any better than that!
