This is quite a old one but advise please , took out a TSB endowment mortgage approx 20/25 years ago , 5 years in we had a letter endowment may not cover the balance etc , so we switched to a re-payment even though they told us don't worry its a standard letter.
At the time they also sold us a life insurance policy with the endowment , i tried to claim but TSB said i was not mis-sold and i had 6 moths to contact the Ombudsman, i did not bother at the time thinking i would be wasting my time.
I guess way too long to try anything now ????

You Claimed.
Your Claimed was rejected and you had the option to get a second opinion from the Ombudsman.
You do not do so.
That leaves any future Claim barred.
That’s how it works to stop endless circling of Claims.I am a Mortgage Broker

Most endowment complaints were rejected. So, statistically, you got the most likely outcome. However, you had your chance to appeal it from the FOS which you chose not to do. By not doing so, you became barred from future complaint on the same subject.
Correct.I guess way too long to try anything now ????
t have been much different to the position on a repayment mortgage. So,I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
