Help Needed - Prize T&Cs

Hi, so I was contacted yesterday to say I had won a holiday to LA - I was over the moon of course and my DH and I were then thinking of ways we could scrape together some spending money. I was checking the T&Cs and couldn't find any specific dates for when the holiday would take place. So when the prize provider emailed me again today to ask for some more details I added on the end of the email just asking if they knew what dates we would be able to take the holiday as I was hoping I could go in 2020. They came back and said that the T&Cs stated June - so I went back to the T&Cs and had another look, the only reference I can find to June is the following:
"Prize Each of the 5 winners will win a prize package consisting of: a) Flight tickets to Los Angeles for the winner and a companion from one of the airports in the capital of the country in which the winner resides on June 2019."
I went back to them and said that was all I could find, and myself and others I had showed this to all interpreted this as hat they will use where you are living in June 2019 as a basis for which airport you will be flying from - which is not the same as saying when the holiday must be taken.
The response I got back was "about the T&C , the reason its written like that is to make sure the cost would be reasonable for both parties (you and us)."

Would you say that it's reasonable for me to argue that they never specified a date? I don't want to be ungrateful, I really am thrilled to have won but it's such short notice I don't think we would be able to go, either because of getting the time off work or because we simply couldn't get together enough money for spending out there. I know that's not the companies fault, but I wouldn't have entered it in the first place if I had realised it would be in June, and I always check the T&Cs!

Link to full T&Cs if anyone would like to read them - https://www.jackjones.com/gb/en/folders/jj-competition/jj-competitionpage-winlatrip.html

Sorry for the long post, I'm just not sure what to do!

Possibly could be argued either way although I would assume they would want to know where I lived at the time of travel as it would be rather irrelevant otherwise - it also doesn't say anything about winners selecting the dates of travel, "black-out" periods like Christmas etc which I would normally expect to see if it was winners choice of dates.

(Based on the dates given about contacting winners "29th April 2019" and them allowing 3 days before re-selecting you could easily be an alternative winner because people have not responded or cannot make June)

I would read it as June 2019.

I entered this competition but was unsuccessful

I think it could have been better written though

Flight tickets to Los Angeles for the winner and a companion (from one of the airports in the capital of the country in which the winner resides) on June 2019

Above is how I read it with my brackets added.

I think they are trying to say you would have to fly from your relevant capital. i.e. UK winners from London, France winners from Paris etc

    Just my interpretation. Good luck
