Plevin CMC's

I have been made an offer under the plevin rules after rejections twice, 2011 and last year in September.I used CMC who closed the case as it was a duplicate claim and was rejected. No mention was made to us that they would keep the case open about the commission side. Subsequently in October last year, we put the case through the F.O.S who upheld the rejection of the PPI claim but stated the commission part was under investigation. Now the CMC want their chunk quoting it was due to them we won the commission? I have asked what work they have done the last 8 months as we had not heard from them? Can they take money on a claim they closed 8 months later, and is this ethical. I spoke to the girl on the collections department at the CMC who was stating it was down to their work? Can anyone help please?

Check the terms of the legally-binding contract you signed with the Claims Management Company. If you believe the contract does not include any Plevin redress then you should consult the Ombudsman..0

Have a look through the posts on here about Plevin, Dunstonh has some good advice on this, I think it's usually after 6 months of case closure they can't claim the Plevin unless they specifically mentioned that in the contract
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Hi, Thank you, I did check and established it was out of date, however, I found a link you had kindly posted further down the thread which is helpful as both cases were concluded last October!
I was also able to see I am dealing with the same CMC most were talking about..Thanks again!0
