p45 & pay to date

in Cutting tax
Hi
Should the figure in my P45 be added to my tax to date on my new payslips?
Full details-
Under TUPE, got transferred from agency A to agency B.
Last date with agency A was 31/3/19 as shown on P45 and new start date was the next day 1/4/19 with agency B.
Agency A paid my last wages on 15/4/19 hence produced P45 with final pay, this matches my last pay slip, (pay worked out weekly, but paid on a monthly payslip).
Agency B has been emergency taxing me every week (they pay weekly on weekly payslips) and have now corrected my tax code to 1250L (prev was 1185L/c).
I was under the impression that as my previous employer has paid me in the middle of April, this pay will be classed as being in this current financial year, hence on my new payslips, so my pay to date should include this final pay figure? is that not correct?
My new payslips only show what my new employer has paid not including the final pay from previous employer.
I called HMRC and explained but the chap was adamant my understanding is wrong and everything is correct and that figure wouldn't show on my new payslip or id be taxed twice.
I've now got my P60 which matches with the figure on my 2nd last payslip from previous employer in march which is as id expected.
If this p45 figure is not included in my p60 earnings for last financial year, and its not in my pay to date for this current financial year, then this figure is unaccounted for?
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks

Presumably the P60 is just from your new employer ?
and just covers the period 1/4/19- 5/4/19 ?
I'm not an expert but don't think you should be getting a P60 from your old emplyer if the date on the P45 is before the end of the old tax year....0 -

no, the p60 is from the previous employer for the year 18/19 as ive worked the full year.0 -
What is the month number shown on your last payslip from your old employer, paid on 15/04/2019, but for your work ending 31st March?0

So why are they issuing you with a P45 dated 31/4/19 ?
I still think you should not have got a P60 from them, as you weren't employed by them at the end of the tax year (or they shouldn't have issued the P45 until the new tax year - one or the other).
But I'm not an expert so perhaps I'm worng0 -

Hi, doesn't give month number, but Tax Period says 01.
Edit- previous payslip shows tax period 12, so looks like it is the month number. so month number 01 on my last payslip from old employer.0 -

The p45 shows end date 31/3/190 -
This certainly looks to me as if you have been under-taxed though by what amount depends on what you mean by "emergency taxed"
To work out your tax position can you give the following details from P60
Gross and tax figures
Might be one or two sets so if two what are they headed as.
Tax code
Any X after code
From payslip in old employment for month 12
Taxable gross
Tax paid
Taxable gross to date
Tax paid to date
Week or month number
Tax code/basis
From any payslip in old employment issued after the one for month 12

Taxable gross to date

Week or month number
Tax code/basis
From each payslip in new employment

Not as bad then as emergency tax would have given you tax allowance for these weeks which BR did not; though without figures cannot say exact position.
EDIT
Having seen the figures this actually made no difference I was thinking that some of these weeks fell in last tax year so would have resulted in a under tax for last year if emergency tax had been used.0 -
