Prescription is 1 per day @20mg
I generally dont take them every day as Im a forgetful sod.
prescribed to me as a protection for my stomach for taking painkillers/non steroidal anti inflammatory

Been prescribed for around 5 years.I'll be on the painkillers forever so expect to be on the Omeprazole forever/longer term.

Im not at the GP often but when I do go again I'll try to remember and ask.
I can pretty much always get a same day appointment here.

Perhaps in taking just two per week I am over-worrying:( I suppose the bottom line is that they really improve my quality of life. However, I will keep trying to do without a bit longer and just use the Ranitidine.

You are lucky being able to get GP appointments - in our area at the moment it is dire, all locum GP's and they even had to close our surgery for a couple of days recently as there were no doctors available:eek:
Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time
