Problems with my PC's settings

I allowed my grandson to download a game from a site and the result is that everything has changed! The words are much larger, the colour is different. Please, can someone please advise me how to change things to the way they were!

  • right click on your desktop > properties > settings and change the resolution on the slide bar and also the colours in the drop down box next to it.

if that doesn't work he may have deleted / changed your video card to standard VGA so it's running at 640x480 resolution and 16 colours.
  • The game has probably changed the screen resolution. Right-click an empty part of the Desktop - Properties - Settings. Increase the screen resolution and colour quality.

If no joy, try System Restore to go back to before the installation. If still no joy explain a bit more about which application(s) is showing the larger words and different colours.

Thank you both for the replies! I have just done a System Restore backto yesterday and it did the trick!

On my settings, my screen is set at 1440 x 900 pixels. The colour is at higest and 32 bit. Are those correct?

    Thanks

There are no 'correct' settings for the display/graphics. It depends on your graphics card and monitor hardware and what is most readable to you. Start with the highest possible resolution and colour quality, and reduce them if necessary. The higher the resolution, the smaller the text/icons on the screen.
