Santander - Underwriting times?

Hi, our application went to underwrite yesterday at 6PM. Does anybody currently going direct with Santander have an idea on how long underwrite is taking at the moment?

I'm extremely nervous as my partner doesn't have a good credit score with two defaults. I have a Experian score of 850 and no late payments, defaults etc.

We are on a 95% LTV mortgage on a 5 year old property. I'm super nervous!

Took less than a day for me, but pretty straightforward with great scores etc, have a look at:

    Debt free as per 22/12/16 - :D
  • We applied in branch and got the decision there and then, I don't think they are particularly slow

I applied direct online, DIP went through immediately, then second hard credit check no problem, submitted all the supporting documents and it’s been in underwrite since Tuesday evening.

I ran Santander and they’ve said they’re processing applications 3 days behind for underwrite at the moment :(

It’s going to be a stressful weekend!

This is just the start of stress, it gets way more fraught :p
Until you put the key in your new front door you'll experience all sorts of ups and downs …...worth it all in the end though

At least, by contacting them, you know where you are at this point, not knowing is agony.
