Toy kitchen for 4 year old

I want to buy a kitchen for me dd's 4th birthday next month, and need your help please in deciding between these two. Little Tikes Play Smarter Cook 'N' Learn Kitchen or Tefal Excellence Kitchen. Does anyone have firsthand experience of either? One's interactive, the other is supposed to have a tap that actually works. Does anyone have suggestions for a different kitchen? My budget's up to £100. Thanks.

Not the ones you've suggested, but the ELC kitchen is pretty good. My little one and her cousin spend ours playing with it. Plus you get a load of free acessories as well.

we have had a little tykes kitchen for the last couple of years. It sits in the corner of my dd bedroom during the winter and is pulled out to play usually on a daily basis.Doesn't take up lots of room.We use it in the garden most of the summer. It is very robust.Has taken alotof knocks and bangs but is still perfect.
This is the one we bought from Toys rus.You prob can get it cheaper than this,

  • My DD is only 2 but for Christmas had bought the wooden kitchen sink and cooker from Vertbaudet - really girly and very pink !

  • the tefal one is not that good tbh. i have that here from last year for my little girl. it's useless. as soon as i have space to get the wooden stuff for her playroom, it will be done deal, but i am waiting for my DH to get the loft/basement sorted out and insulated. either one would do. having said that, i have warned, before christmas or I get the yellow pages out in january!
  • before buying anything from ELC i would recommend going to play there if they have one on display. the display kitchen in our store always have broken oven doors because they're so fiddly. mind you i suppose they get played with by children younger than yours.

Thanks for all your suggestions, read somewhere that the little tykes one is only suitable up to age 4 as it's smallish, and my daughter's quite tall for her age. Consultant31, i've pm'd you.

go for little tykes , always has a good resale value if little un gets fed up /need space ,always robust .

I sold my little boys country kitchen a few months ago (needed space due to house move) he played/jumped/climbed/spilled things on it and it still looked like when I bought it 12 months previous and I sold it for more than I paid for it
