DRO and cancel direct debits before applying

Hello,
I've had an application pack from SC to apply for a DRO. However, due to exams and other university and work commitments, I have delayed trying to get hold of credit details to include in my application for over a month. For now, I have cancelled all my direct debits and am not paying any creditors as I'm at a stage now where I'm either paying the creditors or I am on the streets.
I have managed today to get hold of the information that I need to add to my application pack and will send it off by the end of the week.
Will cancelling direct debits affect my DRO application?

Will cancelling direct debits affect my DRO application?
Hi,
Why would it ?
You should be treating all your creditors equally, that usually means you dont pay any of them, so you have done the right thing, why continue paying debts that will soon be written off ??
Just make sure your budget shows a £50 or less (preferably less) deficit at month end, before your debt repayments are taken into account.
