Sounds like your plan is going well!
Is your daughter getting on okay with starting nursery? We had many tears when DS started  on his first day, it was both of us
Good luck for the bonus earning :money:
I know what you mean about the amount that our small people eat - DS has tea at nursery at 3.30 then tea at home at 6 :rotfl: and yet somehow I believe these are the cheaper years before school uniform, trips, clubs and being old enough to understand toy adverts :rotfl:.
We'd better make hay while the sun shines!0 -
Thank you everyone. Bachsoon she is really enjoying Nursery. I was worried that she would hate it as she's always been a really needy clingy child. I'm actually shocked lol. Yes I agree. It's going to get more expensive the older they get. I don't know where they put all that food either.
It's been a low spend bank holiday weekend. Saturday was my nephew's bowling party for his 6th Birthday followed by soft play. We didn't have to pay and the kids had meals, drinks and cake provided. I popped over to Mr T's during the party and grabbed me and Mr J a £3 each meal deal. I'd had £6.50 transferred into my bank account from a cash back website so technically lunch was free money :T
Sunday we spent a day at home tidying, baking and cooking and Mr J took the kids to his Mother's so I could have a 3 hour house scrubbing session lol :rotfl:
Monday we wanted to get out the house and DD was demanding pub food for lunch so we went to our local country pub and had a carvery. It cost £30, the kids played up rotten which was very unusual for them whilst eating out. DS did nothing but scream and the food wasn't that enjoyable. Lesson learnt take a packed lunch to the park instead next time.
Today has been very spendy. I had a certain McMuffin breakfast meal and coffee from a well known chain. I also bought my sisters breakfast so that was about £7.50. I then went to Mr M's and purchased cleaning products, toilet rolls, detergent etc and lots of clothes for DS. He needs a whole new wardrobe and we are off to Cornwall next week for 5 days. I did spend £78 in Mr M's but we've still got £700 ish pound to live on until the end of the month so I can't complain too much. We will take our own food shopping to the caravan and take packed lunches out. The children will get pocket money from family for the arcades and we can try and keep our costs low. The car is in for an MOT when we get back. It's 5 years old now so I'm hoping it will pass again. I do think we may need new tyres though. We will see. Time to do a budget and SOA. We've already made an appointment to remortgage and switch bank accounts. My friend has recommended us so when we switch we will get £100 each and then I'll recommend DH and we will get another £100 each. Let's hope the car doesn't swallow this. Saving pots are most definitely needed for future expenses.
Hope you all had a lovely bank holiday
Mrs A0
