trustee being unreasonable

hi
i am having issues with a bankruptcy trustee, i am trying to make an offer to settle the debts to stop them selling a property.
they are charging interest on debts that were previously in a debt payment plan, they have also said because i failed to pay a CCJ of £2200,00 before i was made bankrupt the debt has now gone up by £14,900 as it reverts to a previous court order.
there was a total of 13 debts of which only 6 are claiming after 18 months, however they have now said they will advertise and ask debtors who have not claimed to come forward.

i thought the whole idea of bankruptcy was to pay the debts being claimed and not penalise the bankrupt. it seems like it is legal robbery

If you have assets you wanted to protect then bankruptcy was maybe not a good idea.

What makes you think your debts should be wiped but you get to keep assets that can be used to clear that date.

Strictly speaking, the property is not yours but the Trustees. They have 3 years to decide what to do. Here is the guide - assuming it is the family home and not some other property.

It can be given/sold back (re-vested) but it is not your decision.
Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.

This situation appears complicated and I’m sure one of the board mods might have some more info. But from what you have said, your debt seems very large if one debt is standing at £220,000? Surely it would be better to just do what they want and start fresh. Forgive me if I have read this wrong and your debt isn’t as much as that.
