Doing the sums, I notice some is weekly, some is monthly.
There are 4.3 weeks in a month, not 4, so I have calculated weekly amounts into monthly amounts based on 4.3 weeks/month.
£1969 - Income after rent and council tax paid
£787 - outgoing including bills/fuel/car/driving lessons etc etc
====
£1182 - in your hand after everything is paid for
£347 - debts
====
£835 - to live on after everything is paid.
Which puts you in the category of "loaded" as many people start off with this amount before rent/bills .. and certainly less than this just after rent alone.
It would be quite feasible to use half this to pay off your loans/debts quicker (where it is practical to do so). As you pay off each debt, use that money the next month to pay even more off another debt.
At £400/month, you could pay the lot off in just 2 years. And you'd not really be "scrimping".
There are items in your outgoings where you could cut back further - as other posters will point out to you.
Good luck. You're a long way from being trapped!

Hello and welcome. As an ex smoker you know what I am going to say (says she coughing and spluttering over her keyboard). It is a VERY expensive habit and it's not good for the kids to breathe in the smoke.
However I appreciate we all need a hobby so perhaps you could look at the old style board for means of cutting back, try the store cupboard challenge and dont forget to use cashback sites when renewing insurances or changing gas and electricity companies.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0 -
it sounds really bad that im on here. i didn't realise how much i actually needlessly spent. Especially when there are people on here in far worse positions. Im gonna try and give up smoking i think and ill start a spending diary.
Just remembered i have Allen Carr's Easyway to stop smoking book downstairs. Better give it a shot.[STRIKE]£46 Capital One 19.9%[/STRIKE]£900 Visa Vanquis 30.0%[strike]£1850 Virgin MBNA 15.9%[/strike]£10431.03 HSBC Managed Loan 7%[strike]£168 Provident Loan 65%[/strike]0
